Title: "The Contact"

A peacful young man who lives in the rural village of Lahan, located near the border between Kislev and Aveh. There, he lives in the house of the village Chief, Lee, who treats him as his own son. Having the skills of a master painter, and adept in the martial arts, he cannot recollect how he acquired either of these skills.
During most of the game, he is stricken with amnesia, unable to remember who he is or where he came from up until the time he arrived in Lahan Village.

After a string of tragic events, Fei will leave Lahan Village, and embark on a journey and eventually discover his past.

Fei : More in-depth Biography

The story opens up with Fei painting. Stricken with amnesia, he cannot recall anything before arriving in Lahan Village, three years earlier. Luckily, the villagers are understanding and help him cope with this by making him feel at home and welcome. In fact, the villages chief sort of "adopts" Fei. For the past three years, life is pretty un-eventful, and downright simple for Fei. However, On the eve of his two best friends wedding (Alice and Timothy), the town is invaded by Kislev and Aveh army gears. The villagers, caught in the middle of the violent conflict, are forced to flee their homes. As the town is being evacuated, Fei goes back into the town center to look for Alice's little brother, Dan. He doesn't find Dan, but he does come across a blue gear, with it's occupant dead at it's feet. Fei is somehow drawn to the gear, and suddenly sees the vision of a young boy sitting in the cockpit, his face contorted and sadistic, he silently becons Fei inside. Fei does just that. After fighting off more enemy gears, another gear suddenly appears, and fires on Fei's friend, Timothy, killing him.
Watching his best friend Die before his very eyes, something inside of Fei is set off, causing him to go into a insane state.He has a flashback of himself as a child, blood all over his face, and then he will see a similar face, only contorted and evil looking. (the boy above) Fei will then develop an sadistic grin on his face, chuckle, and Weltall suddenly releases a wall of energy, decimating the entire town and anyone in it, including Alice.
Dan, Alice's younger brother, will survive with a handful of townspeople, who drive Fei away, calling him a "murderer".

Fei travels through the Blackmoon Forest, where he encounters a mysterious woman. Stricken with grief and guilt, Fei could really care less if she kills him and puts up no struggle. This alarms the woman to the point of her letting her guard (to her surroundings) down. While she's speaking to Fei a forest troll ambushes her, throwing her to the ground, Fei instinctively cries out "Stop! Don't hurt Elly!" and attacks. Fei has never met Elly before, and is puzzled by the fact that he knew her name.

Major Spoiler Section

Fei and Elly's meeting will start a chain of events that will lead up to his past and what both of their true purposes are. The two are an eternal pair bond, naturally drawn to each other when they meet.
Both go back to the time of Genesis, at that time Fei was called "Abel" and Elly was still known as "Elhaym" (as she always is.) Abel was the soul survivor of the Eldridge explosion (in the opening of the game.) and made contact with the Zohar Modifier sometime before these events. Zohar recognized his desire for a mother and produced an organic being to fill that part. This being was Elhaym.
The two then began their long, tragic relationship for eons to come. The "loop" they became caught in upon death began soon after they grew up. Emperor Cain and the Gazel Ministry saw the two as a threat and sought to exterminate them as soon as possible. Eventually Cain caught up with the two and, as the couple was fleeing for their lives, struck Elhaym with a ball of energy, mortally wounding her. Abel embraces the dying Elhaym as she utters her final words "Abel..Live!" and dies. Soon after, Abel is most likely caught and killed. This is the "loop" they are caught in for thousands of years. The couple meets, becomes close, falls in love, and Fei is forced to watch as Elhaym dies before him. She always pleads to him to "Live!" just before she dies. Generally, Fei is killed right after this, however, there is an exception.
When Lacan is forced to watch Sophia die, he does not physically die after. But, in a certain sense, he did "die", his soul died. Just before Lacan (Fei) disappears and becomes Graf, he remembers Sophia's final wishes "Lacan! Live!". He utters "Even if I go to hell, I will live to the end of this world. And if the world does not come to an end... I will destroy it with my own hands! "
This also explains the other major spoiler (and mind boggler). Lacan becomes Graf, the seeker of power, Graf will eventually die but his soul, and his wish to live until the end of the world, transmigrates into another body. During one of his lives, he does make contact with the Zohar Modifier, but it is an imperfect contact. The reason being that he does not possess his original body (he doesn't live in Abel, Lacan, Fei's, etc. body anymore.) and therefore does not truly make contact.

As mentioned many times in certain sections, Fei and Elly are two of the main components of Deus. (the third being Miang or you may just consider it to be two main components since Elhaym and Miang are really the same person.). Fei inherited the Wave Existence's power, while Elhaym inherits it's will.
